Use this video intercom to safely identify visitors even before
answering the door. When someone rings the doorbell, the system sends
live audio and video to the indoor 3.5-inch, full-color monitor. If that
someone isn't a pesky salesperson you press a button, let go, and they
can hear you even without holding the button down.
The Expandable is also one of the
first in the industry to offer a full motion, 20-second Video and
Audio clip recording on a removable Mini Secure Digital card (not
included). Video clips can now
be viewed and archived on any PC or MAC. Chances are if someone
breaks in to your home or business, they'll ring the doorbell to
make sure no one is there (and pretend they're selling something if
you are). You'll have a nice video to show the police! You can also
view these video clips on the monitor itself. If you don't want
video, you can set the camera to take 3 pictures per visitor
instead.
Using the Zoom and Pan/Tilt function, each monitor can control the
picture of the camera using the onscreen controls. This feature
enables you to get the perfect view of who is at your door, whether
they are kids or adults. While talking to the doorbell camera from
main monitor you can also use the on-screen-menu to stop or resume
video recording. If you operate the Zoom and Pan/Tilt function it
will first stop recording and resume afterward.
This intercom system is capable of expanding up to a maximum of 4
indoor monitors and 2 doorbell cameras in a standard system. With
additional EX-HUB home-run expansion modules, the total number of
monitors can be extended up to 8 total.
The Expandable Hands-Free Color Intercom System even has a night
vision mode to accommodate any lighting environment. A built-in
infrared system provides supplemental lighting to enhance night
viewing. The door phone camera operates in color during daylight and
black & white in low lighting conditions.
For the visitor, the Expandable in no more difficult to use than a
normal doorbell (and the button is still lighted). The unit is not only
convenient to use but also designed to provide an additional measure of
security. For business/commercial applications where access control is a
concern, the system safeguards the entrance while remaining
user-friendly to guests.
When someone presses the Call button on the Door Camera, all the monitors on the
system will ring with a chime sound and all video monitors will be automatically
activated. If no one inside presses the Speakerphone button, then the system
times out after 30 seconds. Otherwise it times out after 90 seconds.
You can also use this video intercom to monitor the area around the camera.
By pressing the Monitor button one time (even when no one presses the camera
button) you can view and listen to whatever is going on around the camera. If
you have two outside cameras, pressing the Monitor button again will change to
the second camera. To stop monitoring you press the Exit button.
You can even add an external electric door lock to open the door from the
indoor monitor and the door status indicator tells you when the lock is open!
The system can only release one electric lock at a time, depending on which door
camera the call originated from.
From any monitor, you can press the intercom button, or select
the function from the on-screen menu to page other monitors. Paging
can be for 30 seconds, and if any other monitor presses the intercom
button, a conversation can occur for a maximum of 90 seconds.
The attractive design of the hands-free intercom system is not only
functional, but is also a stylish addition to any décor. Installation is
a quick and easy. The system supports a wide range of wires from
CAT5 (24AWG) to 18AWG. Installers may also utilize the wires from
an existing door chime.
