With this portable, full-duplex wireless headset intercom up to eight
headsets can be added so users can communicate simultaneously. Since the
headsets are always live, no voice activated switching is required;
therefore there is no annoying delay before speaking. Headsets include a
special noise cancelling microphone to keep background noise at a
minimum. The best part, there are no wires for users to get caught on
and both hands are kept free to be applied to the task at hand.
This system has a range of up to 2,400 feet line of sight between a
headset and the communications hub. You'll get lower range with
obstructions like walls in the way. So if the communications hub is
centrally located, two headsets could be almost 4,800 feet apart in
line-of-sight situations and still be able to communicate.
A conference feature enables two groups of 4 users to communicate
separately, or all eight users can communicated together. Communication
is crystal clear since the system uses digital technology.
A communication hub should be placed as centrally located to the
coverage area as possible and within line of sight to the hub if
possible. The hub can be powered by an AC power outlet, or via a
rechargeable lithium battery for portable operation. A battery sled that
holds five AA batteries is provided for emergency power. No remote
antenna is needed on the hub.
This system uses the latest DECT 6.0 technology in the 1.9 GHz
frequency range. These frequencies are reserved exclusively for voice
communication applications and therefore are less likely to experience
interference from other wireless devices such as baby monitors and
wireless networks. No FCC license is required for DECT radios.
