Paging Amplifier with Background Music 15-Watt

This PA system interfaces with virtually any telephone system to provide 15 watts of paging power, which is enough to drive fifteen 8-ohm paging horns or speakers. However, we use this system to set up a simple wired PA system using an analog phone to broadcast messages.

The VK1023 can be interfaced to an analog phone by setting the FXO/FXS switch to FXO and connecting the phones wires to screw terminals 5 & 6. In this mode an off hook condition triggers the PA-15 to pause 1 second, send a tone (if pre-announce tone is on), and then you can speak to broadcast your message. The PA-15 will end the page when a hang up is detected.
