Compared to the competition, our gate entry pedestals are hands down higher quality. Competing products are often made from thinner 0.074" wall tube, but these products are made from thicker 0.120" wall tube. That's 62% more steel! That's important when it comes to vandal abuse and withstanding forces of Mother Nature. These pedestals passed face-wind testing protocols that are equivalent to a sustained Category 5 hurricane force winds of over 150 miles per hour. Some pedestals have even been tested with wind up to 600 mph and only began to flex about 2 milli-meters. That's a wind speed over two times higher than the highest recorded tornado.
The painted finish on these pedestal poles is also second to none. All products are first bead-blasted (like sand-blasting) to eliminate contaminants and blemishes. That leaves the ideal bonding surface for the top finish. They are powder coated with an outdoor-rated polyester finish with UV protectant to help promote longevity in any weather condition. The stainless steel pedestals provide excellent rust protection and beauty at a reasonable cost.
One of the nice features of all poles is that the mounting holes for the concrete fasteners are not visible. The architectural pedestals are mounted from the inside out using an access panel on the backside. For the gooseneck poles, a base cover sits over top of the mounting bolts.

As an intercom post, these poles can hold wireless or wired intercom equipment. They have a standard gooseneck post mounting pattern on the mounting faceplate that is compatible with most intercom equipment. Custom poles can also be made.
Gate Access Control
One of the largest usages of these poles is as a gate keypad mounting post or a gate intercom post for the purpose of opening a security gate. As an intercom pole, they allow two-way communication and gate opening. If you add a video intercom you can also see visitors. If all you have is a keypad at the gate, then someone can enter a code to open the gate. You can also get intercoms with built in keypads that allow for both.
Card readers use proximity cards that allow visitors, employees or residents access to a property. A card reader pedestal mount is used to place the card reader near the access door. The card reader post is usually around 42" tall for people walking up to it. If the card reader uses wireless radio frequencies, we recommend using a plastic Buffer Plate mounted between the card reader pedestal and the card reader. This ensures that the metal of the pole does not interfere with the signal. We offer plastic buffer plates for this purpose.
Every pedestal is wrapped in foam packaging and boxed individually for safe shipping.
