A factory intercom is typically one that is durable, and it may need to work in loud environments. It could be either wireless or wired. Typically, the intercoms may be a short distance from each other, so it is not too challenging to run a wire between the two points.
Wired Factory Intercom Systems
We have a Noisy Location Handset
system that consists of two old-fashioned type handsets and you simply pick up one handset to ring the other. These are often used at opposite ends of large machinery to relay some sort of quick message. Since you are holding a handset to your ear, no noise cancellation is required.
If a handset isn’t acceptable and you need something more handsfree, then we have a High-Definition Wired Intercom Set
that gets very loud but also includes noise cancellation. This system uses CAT5 wire plugged in to a Power over Ethernet (PoE) switch that you provide. The audio on this system is very high quality and the intercoms on each side will work in extremely harsh environments. Pressing the call button on one unit will automatically activate the audio on the other unit so you can immediately start communication without the receiving end having to press a button.
We also have other wired systems that are not as loud or durable that may work fine for some applications. Just call us to discuss your needs and we can help you pick one of these.
Wireless Factory Intercom System
Our MURS Wireless Intercom System
is a push-to-talk, release-to-listen system that works like a standard two-way radio. We have durable wireless callboxes, loud one-way wireless PA units, handheld radios, base station intercoms, and other accessories that work with this system so it is very flexible. If you need simple point A to point B communication, you could use two wireless callboxes or two mounted base stations.
Call us to discuss your specific factory intercom needs and we will help you find the right solution.
