One of the services we tried for the Infinite-Range Wireless Intercom was a 3G AT&T GoPhone which we purchased from WalMart for $19.99. It includes a telephone you can use to set the service up and test (Make sure you choose a 3G phone and NOT a 4G). The GoPhone service has website that lets you add minutes in the future if you choose that type of a plan. You'll notice that on the lower end plans the text messaging is very expensive. While you are programming your intercom, we recommend you do a Google search for "Free Text Messaging" and use one of the tools you find to program the system so you don't use expensive text messaging.
The following video walks you through the process of setting up the AT&T GoPhone service once you buy the phone.
Once you have the GoPhone service set up, the SIM card will still not work since AT&T has it locked to that phone. You will have to call customer service to have them "unlock" the SIM card.
  1. Call AT&T Customer Service at 800-331-0500
  2. When you get to the long list of options, none of which is correct, say "agent" and you will be directed to a customer service agent.
  3. Say this to the agent: "I purchased an AT&T GoPhone and have it set up, but I want to move the SIM card to another device. Could I have you unlock the SIM for me?" They will unlock it for you and have you test it while they wait so it is best to do this when you can take the SIM card out of the phone and put it into the intercom system.
