noise cancelling intercomMost of our noise cancelling intercoms are used in fixed locations where high levels of noise are common. Truck scales, production facilities, gate station applications and industrial sites all utilize these types of applications. Since these are Ethernet-based products, they are connected to the network via wired connections. We do this so that you have the most reliable connection with solid audio quality and zero interference.

Some users may have the need to be mobile while receiving an intercom call. This could be a supervisor walking around a manufacturing facility, security guard moving about a parking lot or yard boss managing traffic at a busy truck yard. Since these users will not always be at their desk or workstation where Ethernet cable is available, we can use a SIP application on a mobile device to solve this problem.

Bria Mobile is a SIP application that runs on Android and iOS devices. With Bria Mobile users can make and receive voice and video calls using Wi-Fi or a cellular data connection. When you add Bria Mobile to your intercom solution you gain the ability to communicate with endpoints that are not fixed in place and you never have to sacrifice mobility.

To make this a reality, the noise cancelling intercom is connected to the network just like any other IP phone using a PoE switch or PoE injector. This sends both power and data over a single Ethernet cable to the intercom. After the intercom is connected to the network we simply add the SIP account to Bria Mobile on the smartphone or tablet. The mobile app registers as an endpoint on your network alongside your intercom and IP phone. Now calls can be placed to the intercom from the mobile device and vice versa.

Bria Mobile allows you to store contacts just like you would any phone. Extensions or devices that are called frequently can be added to the contact list for quick access. Our noise cancelling intercom automatically answers an incoming call so the user can easily communicate hands free.

Having both rugged wired intercoms and mobile options are great for those who want a little of both worlds.

Call Recording

You can record calls and store them locally on your device. Video calls can also be recorded; however, only the audio portion is captured.

When recording begins, Bria Mobile plays a recording tone to notify the remote party. This can be changed in the settings to play a recorded announcement instead of a tone.
  • Muting the call does not silence the recording tone.
  • If the call is placed on hold (by either party), recording is paused. The tone resumes when the call continues.
  • If the call is redirected, recording stops and automatically resumes afterward, with the tone played again to the remote party.
  • To record a call (iPhone):
  1. During an active call, tap More.
  2. Tap Start Audio Recording.
A small flashing red icon will appear, indicating that the call is being recorded.
