The Robustel router acts in the same way as the previous 4G router. It needs an active SIM card to establish connection to a network for the unit to work. It is the latest router in all of our Praetorian and Opyn 4G systems.
To upgrade you just need the Robustel itself and you will swap out the green board for the Robustel that comes in its own IP54 rated shell.
